W.L.R. Prototype Engineers Limited trades as WLR Precision Engineering, a CNC machining company in Wilford, Nottingham, established in 1969. It runs CNC milling machines with 4 and 5-axis capability, CNC lathes including a Star SR-32J sliding head and Muratec twin-spindle machines with live tooling, and a Kern ultra-precision machining centre with accuracy of +/- 1 micron on the workpiece. Parts are inspected on CNC coordinate measuring machines, and laser marking and engraving are done in-house. Work covers prototypes, one-offs and small to medium batches in materials including aluminium, brass, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium and PEEK. The company is certified to ISO 9001.
